According to Ryan, “A year ago we got a phone call from Jon Bon Jovi and we were the only band that he wanted to take out on his whole tour. That was incredible! Right after that, Johnny Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls called me and I went out on the road with them. I’ve known Johnny for years and I actually sang backup on one of their songs. Then my buddy Andy Grammer called me so I went on his first headlining tour, and then the who...le radio tour started. I also went out with a rock band that I respect, The Parlotones, and they are the biggest band in Africa and they play in stadiums."

Particularly impressive about Ryan is that he performed the Goo Goo Dolls' hit ballad "Iris," while he was a contestant on the reality competition Rock Star: Supernova in 2006.

His rendition received praise from Supernova judge Dave Navarro (from Jane’s Addiction). “Dave cared about me, and he’s my favorite guitar player of all-time,” he says.
