Maroon 5 will have the honor of being the first act to perform for the
public in Revel's 5,050-seat Ovation Hall on May 18. The Black Keys can
say they came in second when they work the spacious venue on May 19. But
only the four-time Grammy nominated rock band the Goo Goo Dolls can lay
claim to being the artists who actually broke in the room. This one

bass guitarist Robby Takac and drummer Mike Malinin performed ...
a special
private show Sunday night for Revel's employees as a sort of rockin' pep
rally the night before Revel opened its doors to the public. Revel CEO
Kevin DeSanctis joined the band on stage and sang - well, he sang the
praises of his team of associates, wished them luck on opening day and
gave everyone who attended the concert a special t-shirt commemorating
the occasion. No wonder everyone wearing a Revel badge on Monday was
smiling.
